City’s premier professional breakfast networking event returns next month

Published on

A flagship business networking occasion is coming back to the area next month.

The Dragons of Newport Big Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, April 22 at 7am in the Bisley Suite at Rodney Parade.

The gathering consistently draws over a hundred local enterprises, providing organised networking opportunities, a modest morning meal and chances to develop valuable professional connections.

Tailored specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises, participants can encounter a diverse range of proprietors and key decision-makers, enhance their company visibility and investigate fresh possibilities.

The organised networking segments guarantee every participant numerous opportunities to showcase their company and establish significant connections.

Simon Rogers, commercial director at St Joseph’s Hospital, commented that as a local organisation, they deeply appreciate how the Dragons of Newport Big Breakfast unites the business community. He noted it serves as a constructive, hands-on occasion that assists local enterprises in connecting, cooperating and expanding, and expressed enthusiasm about supporting the April event as sponsor.

The occasion is backed by St Joseph’s Hospital, an independent medical facility serving Newport and the broader South Wales area.

As an additional benefit, guest speaker Lee Monroe, director of The HR Dept South Wales, will provide actionable advice on forthcoming employment legislation modifications relevant to SMEs.

His presentation will address alterations to unfair dismissal entitlements, parental leave provisions, Statutory Sick Pay regulations, and the steps enterprises must undertake immediately to ensure compliance.

The Big Breakfast is coordinated by the Dragons of Newport, a professional networking organisation comprising over 25 members who gather weekly throughout the city.

Advanced registration is necessary and admission costs £5 per individual, which incorporates breakfast.

Spaces are restricted and reservations can be made via the Dragons of Newport Eventbrite page.
