A popular bakery is preparing to start fresh at a new location after eight years serving the local community.
Beth’s Bakes, which has been a fixture in Newport since 2018, is transferring operations from its Church Road premises to Kiln Square in the Ringland area.
The freshly renovated space will welcome visitors on Good Friday, April 3, operating between 9am and 4pm for the opening celebration.
Proprietor Beth Sims expressed enthusiasm about the transition, noting that after nearly a decade on Church Road, the move to Kiln Square represents an exciting new direction. The expanded menu will include grab-and-go coffee and matcha options alongside the established range of baked goods. She conveyed appreciation for the backing received from local residents and the chance to develop the enterprise further in this fresh setting.
The business has cultivated a dedicated clientele through its signature chocolate brownies, vanilla blondies, and custom celebration cakes. Enthusiastic patrons frequently post images of their purchases across social platforms, highlighting the inventive flavour pairings and sweet offerings. The Church Road location featured displays packed with freshly made treats that frequently disappeared from shelves well before closing time.
Beth’s Bakes maintains an active online presence, keeping followers informed about new varieties, limited-time seasonal offerings, and weekend treat boxes.
The transfer to Kiln Square situates the business at a central position within the contemporary Ringland development. The proprietor has emphasised that the move will preserve the commitment to handcrafted baked goods. The updated shop will expand its range to include takeaway beverages alongside perennial favourites like chocolate brownies and traybakes adorned with vibrant decorations.
The timing aligns with the bakery’s eighth anniversary milestone. As part of the Good Friday celebration, Beth has extended invitations to established customers and those visiting for the first time to take part in the occasion and help mark the achievement.
