Supermarket food warnings urge shoppers across UK stores to avoid certain items

Multiple grocery chains across Britain have issued alerts urging customers to inspect their kitchens following several product recalls prompted by safety issues.

Various food items have been pulled from shelves for different causes, with regulators instructing shoppers not to consume certain goods.

Several active recalls are affecting merchandise sold across major British retailers, including certain oat breakfast products removed due to possible rodent contamination.

Consumers who have bought any impacted items should be aware of potential health hazards and adhere to official advice.

Understanding Food Recalls

Oat breakfast recall

Nine oat-based breakfast items sold at major retailers, including Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s, are being withdrawn because of potential mouse contamination.

MOMA Foods is recalling multiple porridge pots and sachet varieties following possible rodent contamination at the production facility, rendering them unsafe for consumption.

The Food Standards Agency has told purchasers not to eat the affected goods and instead return them to the place of purchase for a complete refund.

The nine MOMA Foods porridge products covered by the recall, according to its website and the FSA, are:

MOMA Almond Butter & Salted Caramel Porridge Pot 55g (1pk, 8pk and 12pk) – M5296, M5297, M5303, M5304, M5315, M5339, M5342 (batch codes)

MOMA Apple, Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Porridge Pot 65g (1pk and 8pk) – M5261, M5328, M5329, M6026, M6027

MOMA Banana & Peanut Butter Protein Porridge Pot 65g (1pk and 8pk) – M5248, M5251, M5304, M5307

MOMA Blueberry & Vanilla Porridge Pot 65g (1pk and 8pk) – M5283, M5284, M5285, M5335, M5336, M6027, M6028

MOMA Cranberry & Raisin Porridge Pot 70g (1pk, 8pk and 12pk)
