Police attend four-car crash at busy rush hour roundabout

Emergency services responded to a collision involving four cars on the A4051 road between the Ashbridge roundabout and the Rechem roundabout on Friday, March 27.

Officers were alerted to the incident at approximately 3.15pm, with traffic building up rapidly in the vicinity.

Significant delays were experienced along the A4051, causing secondary hold-ups on the A4042. Witnesses reported queuing traffic extending back to Cwmbran Drive and Pontrhydyrun during the worst of the situation.

The Croesyceiliog North area also saw traffic disruption.

Authorities later confirmed four vehicles were involved in the crash, though no severe injuries were sustained.

According to officers, they were notified of a road traffic collision on the A4051 between the Ashbridge roundabout and the Rechem Roundabout at approximately 3.15pm on Friday 27 March. The incident involved four cars and no serious injuries have been reported.

Roadside debris was removed and the route has since reopened, with traffic flow returning to usual conditions.
