Welcome to our live traffic updates.

A build-up of vehicles has been reported on sections of the M4 motorway.

According to Traffic Wales, the eastbound carriageway between junction 26 at Malpas and junction 22 near the Prince of Wales Bridge is experiencing significant delays.

The cause has been identified as an unusually large load travelling through the area.

Drivers on the eastbound stretch near Malpas Straight are being affected.

Congestion is also present near High Cross in the eastbound direction.

Motorists travelling eastbound between junction 28 at the A48 in Tredegar Park and junction 26 where the A4051 Malpas Road meets the motorway are facing hold-ups of approximately eight minutes, with conditions beginning to improve.

Vehicles are moving at a typical speed of just 15 miles per hour.

In the Gwent area, the M4 westbound carriageway is also affected.

The AA reports that stationary traffic is extending from junction 23A at the A4810 near Magor Services through to junction 24 at the A449 in Coldra.
