A fresh resource has been launched to assist electors in comprehending modifications to Wales’ voting procedures.
The Electoral Commission has issued a publication called The Guide to the Senedd Election to outline alterations to the voting process prior to the May 7 ballot.
The publication covers guidance on voter registration, postal or proxy ballot options, the newly drawn constituencies, how to fill in the ballot correctly, and the mechanics of the electoral system.
Every household across Wales has received a copy, with versions also accessible digitally, in alternative formats, and translated into various languages.
Manon Antoniazzi, chief executive and clerk of the Senedd, stated that this ballot represents a significant milestone for Welsh democracy, featuring the most substantial overhaul of the Senedd in a quarter of a century alongside a refreshed electoral framework intended to more accurately represent the electorate it serves.
She added that the Senedd values its collaboration with organisations throughout Wales to guarantee that voters in every area comprehend these alterations and are able to participate with assurance.
The Electoral Commission has collaborated with the Football Association of Wales to boost participation in the Show it Off voter registration initiative.
The drive will feature at Cymru fixtures on March 26 and 31, preceding the April 20 voter registration cutoff.
