According to the report: Authorities received notification of a road traffic collision along the stretch between The Castell y Bwch Cwmbran and the Bettws Lanes junction at approximately 2.30pm on Wednesday 25 March.

Police units responded along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

The incident saw two vehicles collide and both motorists were transported to hospital to receive medical care.
