According to the report, emergency services were notified of the road traffic collision between The Castell y Bwch in Cwmbran and the Bettws Lanes junction in Newport at approximately 2.30pm on Wednesday 25 March.

Police officers were present at the scene alongside crews from the Welsh Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision and both drivers were transported to hospital to receive medical care.
