Essential system upgrades will result in the temporary suspension of Newport City Council’s council tax and business rates services this weekend.
From Friday, October 23, residents will be unable to access online council tax accounts, arrange direct debit payments, or use the change-of-address service.
The disruption will also prevent council staff from accessing the affected systems to respond to enquiries.
Normal service is expected to resume on the morning of Monday, October 26, although certain online services may not become available until later that day.
Newport City Council has apologised for the inconvenience caused by the planned work.
