A pub in Torfaen is introducing an exclusive dining initiative offering complimentary alcoholic beverages, discounted sirloin cuts and reduced rates on wine bottles.
The inaugural members’ dining event at the Castell y Bwch establishment on Henllys Lane will take place on the sixth of November.
The venue lies along the road connecting Cwmbran and Newport.
Patrons attending the evening will receive a complimentary glass of white wine alongside their starter course, followed by a further complimentary glass of either red or white wine when the main course is served.
Prime sirloin cuts will be priced at twenty pounds, with alternative steak varieties available at additional cost.
The evening’s fare will showcase the venue’s November culinary specials alongside featured white and red wine selections.
Attendees will additionally benefit from a ten percent reduction on full wine bottles purchased from the establishment’s list during the function.
A complimentary transport shuttle operating within a five-mile radius of the premises will be provided for guests requiring assistance with their journey home.
The dining club concept follows the introduction of a refreshed menu at the Castell y Bwch in September.
Operators Gary and Karen Bulmer hosted a tasting event for invited guests to sample the updated dishes at that time.
The husband-and-wife proprietors acquired the traditional inn in 2022.
Since assuming control, modifications have been implemented throughout the dining area, exterior beer garden and children’s recreational zone.
The establishment has been engaged in an extended planning disagreement with Torfaen council regarding its external decking construction and play equipment.
Over three thousand individuals added their signatures to a petition endorsing the owners’ bid to preserve these facilities.
Nevertheless, a retrospective planning submission received rejection during July.
Notwithstanding this decision, the couple have persisted in broadening the pub’s culinary and beverage offerings, with the new dining club representing their most recent development.
In earlier remarks, Gary Bulmer explained that steakhouses constitute the venue’s primary focus.
He noted that supplementary additions such as chef’s specials enable the team to present customers with enhanced options beyond the core offering.
Regarding the hospitality sector generally, Bulmer observed that public houses have evolved beyond serving solely alcoholic drinks to become destinations for family outings.
Advance reservations are required for those hoping to attend the November gathering.
