A major Welsh holiday destination has unveiled significant leadership changes as it prepares for a month-long Halloween celebration.
The five-star resort in Pembrokeshire has appointed Rebecca Rigby to the role of Managing Director, with her tenure commencing on October 12, 2026.
Rigby currently serves as the resort’s Director of Operations and will assume leadership of the newly established Executive Group, which consolidates senior management across the organisation’s primary operational divisions.
The appointment forms part of a broader restructuring designed to support continued expansion following the resort’s opening in 2008.
William McNamara will transition to the position of Chairman, redirecting his attention toward long-term strategic planning and business development.
Finance Director Giles McNamara will simultaneously join the BRWL Board on the same date, bringing additional financial and commercial expertise to support future investment and growth initiatives.
In a statement regarding the leadership transition, William McNamara acknowledged the organisation’s evolution since its inception, crediting staff dedication and community support for its success.
He emphasised that the structural changes reflect a commitment to developing leadership capacity and ensuring continued prosperity.
McNamara noted Rigby’s extensive familiarity with the resort and her seven years of operational leadership experience as qualifications for her new position.
Rigby expressed her honour at the appointment, describing the resort as a distinctive business with dedicated employees and a clear sense of identity.
She indicated that her priorities would centre on building upon existing strengths, enhancing guest experiences, supporting staff development, and securing the organisation’s long-term viability.
Alongside these administrative developments, the resort announced its inaugural month-long Halloween programme, branded as Mischief Month, which will run through November 1.
The initiative introduces an extended celebration replacing previous condensed Halloween programming, with activities commencing on October 1 and continuing throughout the month.
Seasonal offerings included with all bookings encompass the Halloween Spook-Ball, described as the resort’s largest fancy-dress event, featuring fire performances, dancing and interactive entertainment.
Trick-or-treating opportunities will be available throughout October rather than restricted to a single evening.
The central village area will host a nightly illumination display, while the Blue Lagoon water facility will present Spooky Splash sessions incorporating seasonal entertainment and inflatable attractions.
The Serendome venue will introduce Spook Alley, a walkthrough experience featuring multiple themed environments.
Additional bookable experiences throughout October include an interactive Halloween Dinner Show at The Hive’s NRG Lab, where families enjoy themed dining before participating in a monster-activation activity.
Pumpkin Carving sessions take place at the Cloud Theatre with character guidance.
The Monster Masterclass invites children to design and construct creature creations under the direction of themed hosts Frankie Fizzlebang and Count Sillyfang.
Younger visitors can participate in Halloween Off-Road 4×4 sessions, learning to operate mini vehicles through pumpkin-decorated courses and earning ranger credentials.
Halloween Messy Play sessions at Wonder Workshop offer sensory play activities for toddlers through mid-October.
Target-based activities including Crossbow Mini, Archery and Axe Throwing sessions operate at the Tournament Field, with age-appropriate participation requirements and instructor supervision.
The character-based Teddy Blue’s Halloween Party sees young guests assisting a resort mascot in locating misplaced celebration items.
The award-winning Well Spa will maintain standard operations throughout the event period, providing access to thermal facilities, saunas and steam rooms.
Accommodation pricing for Mischief Month begins at £300 for a four-night midweek stay commencing October 12, with three-night half-term packages from £720 available from October 23.
Pricing reflects stays in two-bedroom lodges accommodating up to four guests.
