M&S to recruit more than 395 Christmas seasonal staff across Wales

Marks & Spencer has announced plans to take on additional temporary workers in Wales ahead of the festive trading period.

The high street retailer is seeking more than 395 candidates to fill seasonal positions across its Welsh store estate.

Prospective applicants can currently submit their details, with initial hires scheduled to commence employment on 25 October.

The advertised hourly rate stands at £13.41.

Among the locations prioritised for recruitment are the Haverfordwest and Menai branches, each offering in excess of 20 available positions.

Those successful in securing roles will integrate with current store personnel to manage anticipated heightened customer footfall during the peak trading weeks, assisting with food, presents, apparel and other seasonal merchandise.

The company has confirmed that comprehensive onboarding and assistance would be offered to enable new starters to acclimatise swiftly.

Regional manager Oli Cullum-Hollins expressed enthusiasm about the incoming cohort, noting that the Christmas period represents one of the most dynamic phases of the retail calendar and presents a valuable chance for individuals to contribute to local communities through customer-facing roles.

He indicated that candidates should be prepared for collaborative working in a high-demand environment, and that the necessary instruction and resources would be supplied to facilitate rapid progression.

Full particulars regarding vacancies and the application process can be accessed via the Marks & Spencer Christmas recruitment portal.
