Pill Carnival brought families and residents together in Newport for its annual Bank Holiday celebration.
Stalls and fairground rides opened from midday before the main parade began at 2pm. People gathered along Alexandra Road to watch the procession through Pill.
The parade featured a series of floats, including one carrying the 2026 Carnival Queen. Carnival posters had been displayed around the neighbourhood during the weeks before the event.
Visitors spent the afternoon at the fairground and community stalls. The event continued its long-standing place in Newport’s calendar as a family day out for people from Pill and other parts of the city.
By the end of the afternoon, the Bank Holiday programme had finished after crowds watched the parade and visited the fairground.
