A man aged around 35 has been granted conditional bail after facing multiple burglary charges.
Officers from Gwent Police were examining reported break-ins at the Kingsway Centre in Newport during June when they took a 33-year-old suspect into custody.
Garth Morgan, who has no permanent home, was hit with two counts of breaking and entering with the intention of committing theft.
He also faced charges of employing threatening or offensive language and of hindering or opposing a police officer.
Morgan attended Newport Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 4 July.
He has been granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at crown court on Friday 31 July.
