Newport Chronicle: Gwent Police have seized a vehicle during patrols targeting anti-social driving in Caerphilly

Police have seized a vehicle during patrols targeting anti-social driving in Caerphilly. Officers from Caerphilly North NPT and Gwent Police – Roads Policing & Dog Section carried out joint patrols on the mountain near Bryn Carno and Ty Coch. A police drone was used to monitor the area for suspicious activity. A vehicle spotted during the operation was found to have no insurance. As a result, officers seized the vehicle. A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers from Gwent Police – Roads Policing & Dog Section carried out joint patrols of the mountain near to Bryn Carno and Ty Coch in Rhymney yesterday evening, following on-going reports of vehicles being driven in an anti-social manner. "As part of the operation a drone was deployed to monitor the area and identify any suspicious activity. "A vehicle was sighted on the mountain and found to have no insurance when stopped by Officers, and as a result of this the vehicle was seized".
