Newport court convicts drug dealer for supplying cocaine

A dealer has been convicted following proceedings for providing cocaine.

Tony Holland, aged 40, originating from Newport, was found guilty by jury members at the crown court in the city for possessing 51 grams of the class A narcotic with the purpose of distribution.

The criminal act occurred on May 31 the previous year.

The accused, residing at Evesham Court in Newport, had rejected all allegations.

Holland is scheduled to appear for sentencing on June 4.

Judge Matthew Porter-Bryant granted him conditional release on bail.

The case was handled by solicitor Gareth Williams on behalf of the defence, with Rose Glanville acting as prosecutor.
