Students from Chepstow School in Monmouthshire made their voices heard at a recent political gathering as the Senedd elections approach.
More than 100 pupils took part in the constituency hustings on Thursday, April 30, posing questions to those seeking election.
The event was arranged by associate governors Toby Bennett and Evan Bruce, bringing together contenders from Plaid Cymru, Welsh Labour, the Conservative Party, the Green Party, Reform Party in Wales, Gwlad, the Welsh Liberal Democrats, and various independents.
Headteacher Kelly Waythe described the occasion as an extremely valuable opportunity for the young people involved.
Keith Dunn OBE, who chairs the governing body, presided over the proceedings and commended the participants for their maturity, curiosity and confidence throughout the afternoon.
Electoral Commission (Wales Office) representatives were also in attendance at the gathering, which sought to foster thoughtful discussion and civic engagement among the students, many of whom will exercise their franchise for the first time in the upcoming poll.
