Magistrates court proceedings resulted in the following determinations.

Michael Davies, aged 38 and resident at Badminton Road in Newport, was directed to pay £847 encompassing a financial penalty, related expenses and an additional surcharge after pleading guilty to employing a handheld mobile device while operating a motor vehicle on Caerleon Road on February 10. Six demerit points were endorsed on his driving licence.

Ronald Weaver, 39 years old and dwelling in St James Way within Georgetown, Tredegar, was ordered to settle £690 in financial penalties, expenses and a surcharge following admission of driving without due care on the A4048 highway situated in Blackwood on December 5 the preceding year. Six points were recorded against his driving entitlement.

Dominic Hunt, aged 22 and occupying Jubilee Road in New Tredegar within Caerphilly county borough, incurred £312 in penalties, costs and surcharge for circulating at 82mph within a 70mph designated section along the M4 motorway in the vicinity of Maidenhead, Berkshire on June 9 the prior year. Three demerit points were applied to his licence.

Morgan Jones, 29 years of age and resident at Cefn Road in Rogerstone, Newport, is obligated to remit £160.84 including a monetary penalty, expenses and outstanding fiscal obligations after acknowledging possession of an uninsured motor vehicle.

Elizabeth Purcell, aged 40 and inhabitant of Cwrt, Celyn St Dials in Cwmbran, received a financial penalty of £428 covering costs and surcharge for operating or fitting a television receiver lacking appropriate authorisation.

Angharad Conway, 35 years old and residing in Gellihaf, Blackwood, was subject to a £691 financial penalty including costs and surcharge for neglecting to file company accounts in her role as company officer of Ty Melin Bakery Ltd for the accounting period terminating on October 31, 2025.

Helen Conway, aged 63 and similarly domiciled in Gellihaf, Blackwood, received matching penalties of £691 including costs and surcharge for the identical reporting omission as company officer of Ty Melin Bakery Ltd for the financial year concluding October 31, 2025.

Rio Ruff Marsh, occupant of Clos Y Goedlan in Garndiffaith, Pontypool, was assessed a £220 financial penalty alongside £85 in costs and £14.25 in arrears for retaining an unregistered motor vehicle.

Christopher Briggs, 59 years old and resident at Davies Street in Cefn Fforest, Blackwood, was ordered to pay £112 with surcharge following acknowledgment of travelling at 31mph within a 20mph restricted corridor along the A469 highway through Pengam’s High Street on October 29 the preceding year. Four penalty points were endorsed on his driving record.

Shane Edwards, aged 51 and dwelling at Ivy Dene Close in Trevethin, Pontypool, was subjected to £106 in financial penalties, costs and surcharge for admitting to surpassing the 40mph velocity restriction. Three demerit points were recorded on his licence.
